Children and teachers from a school in York are pleading with parents to drive and park more carefully around their building.
Some have been abusive to staff at Poppleton Road Primary.
It follows a competition where pupils designed posters to raise awareness of dangerous driving and inconsiderate parking around the school.

The winning entries have now been printed and displayed across Poppy Road School.
Debbie Glover is the headteacher. She said most parents are considerate, but a tiny minority cause real problems.
“They object to us moving them on if they’re parked illegally,” she told David Dunning on YorkMix Radio.
“I’m afraid to stay there’s been a couple of times where they have been quite abusive to our site manager.
“Ninety-nine per cent of parents are very supportive and have listened to the messages, but it’s just the same people who are parking illegally or park dangerously on corners and who are driving much too fast.
“Our site manager doesn’t come to work to be abused. It isn’t acceptable. And he’s when he’s only doing his job to keep our children safe.”
Needless risks
Ward Councillor Kallum Taylor, judged the winning poster entries, added: “It’s great that these kids want to do their bit to help make travelling to school safer.
“Looking at their work they have a more serious grasp of the situation than those who take needless risks and create daily hazards outside their school gates.
“I really hope this is the start of an ongoing, joint effort between the school, residents, and us as councillors, to improve the situation here.”
A banner containing all the posters together has also been put onto the school gates.
Kellan Richardson, who is in Year 2 and also one of the school councillors, wrote a letter as he felt so strongly about the situation. Kellan said: “I think more families should park further away from school and walk and just set off from home a little bit earlier.”
The school, together with the Friends of Poppleton Road School, and Ward councillors, are now working on an action plan to help improve the situation outside the school over the coming years and hope that the council will support their efforts.
