Water has been restored to hundreds of York that were hit after a water main burst.
The leak on Wednesday sent water gushing down New Lane in Huntington.
It hit homes in the YO31 and YO32 postcode areas, leaving some without water.
Affected readers contacted YorkMix from Huntington, Heworth, Earswick and Monks Cross.
All were suffering from low water pressure. Some have reported a loss of cold water to their upstairs bathrooms.
A Yorkshire Water spokesperson said: “There is a burst water main in the area which may be affecting customer’s water supply.
“We have an engineer on the way to fix the problem and hope to have everyone’s supply back to normal in the next few hours.”
An engineer had arrived on site by 5.30pm. Water supplies were back to normal a few hours later.
Today (Thursday) a temporary traffic light system has been set up on New Lane as work continues to fix the water main.
