A delivery driver was attacked as he carried out his rounds on a York street today (Friday, 19 November).
The incident took place just before 7am on when the driver was delivering groceries to a property.
It is believed he was assaulted by two people.
Ambulance crews also went the scene and treated the man for facial injuries.
Anyone who witnessed anything relating to this incident or saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the offence is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101.
