You’re invited to join CBeebies presenter Andy Day and the York Theatre Royal pantomime cast as they pull up their socks for Odd Socks Day.
Odd Socks Day (Monday 15 November) is a way to celebrate individuality and to start a conversation about bullying – as well as having fun!
It marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week, which this year takes place from 15 to 19 November. The week is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, of which Andy Day is a patron.

Andy is also starring as Dandini in York Theatre Royal’s pantomime Cinderella this year.
The cast – who are in the midst of their panto rehearsals for Cinderella – have joined their co-star and donned colourfully odd socks to show their support.
And they’re encouraging everyone to get involved!
Andy and his band Andy and the Odd Socks came up with the idea of Odd Socks Day in 2017.
Each year the band create a song and music video around a chosen theme – this year it’s One Kind Word.
Andy said: “Pulling on a couple of odd socks might not seem like much, but it’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality in their own unique way.
“This year we want to spread the message that one kind word can lead to another and together we can help stop bullying.
“So we hope to see everyone wearing their most colourful odd socks.”
Last year it involved millions of children, thousands of parents, hundreds of workplaces and even celebrities – including Ant and Dec, Mo Farah and Craig David.
“It’s really simple – pop on a pair of odd socks!” Andy said.
“Last year over 7 million people put on a pair of odd socks to celebrate. This year, hopefully it’ll be even more.”

Pantomime rehearsals for Cinderella started this week – with the cast getting ready for the festive season.
“They’ve been going very, very well,” Andy told YorkMix. “You’re going to love the show – it’s going to be an absolute banger of a panto.”
Cinderella will be at York Theatre Royal from 3 December to 2 January.
