If you’re looking for something more gentle this Halloween – Northwood Trail might have just the thing.
We featured the fairy trail, situated just outside York, back in May. Now the fairy sanctuary and woodland attraction have created a family event to celebrate Halloween with the fairies with Evening Fairy Walks.
It is aimed at those who would prefer not to be ‘scared witless’ on the spooky holiday.
The guided lantern walks will be running during half-term from Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 October. There will be three sessions per day at 4pm, 5:30pm and 7pm.

The event will also feature storytelling from Professor Howland’s collection of fairy histories and mythologies, and a free glass of alcoholic or non alcoholic punch on arrival.
Once you’ve strolled through the lantern lit fairy wood, why not explore the fairy museum or relax in the Northwood kitchen bar!
The event is outside – so make sure to be prepared for all weather.
Tickets cost £14.50 and are available via the Northwood Trail website. Under 3s go free.
