Fire crews were called to to Nestle in York this afternoon (Thursday).
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue described it as “a minor chemical incident”.
“As a precautionary measure crews are wearing gas tight suits to investigate. There is no need to be alarmed as this incident is under control.”
It’s expected that more information will be available later.
A spokesperson for York Fire Station said this was why there were a lot of fire engines on Haxby Road.
