Emergency crews were called to a river incident in York on Thursday afternoon.
The entrance to City Screen and Vodka Revolution off Coney Street was cordoned off, with police, fire and ambulance vehicles are parked in the street.
More emergency services vehicles were on Ouse Bridge and King’s Staith, and one footpath of Lendal Bridge was also closed.
The incident lasted well into the night and was brought to a safe conclusion early this morning (Thursday).

A man could be seen sitting on the railings near City Screen over the River Ouse. A police officer and York Street Ranger were watching from a distance.
The North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service river boat, and York Rescue Boat, were also called out.
River traffic was stopped in the area. No roads were closed, but the footpath on one side of Lendal Bridge was cordoned off.
All restrictions have now been lifted.
York Rescue Boat said on Twitter: “The team were called out yesterday lunchtime at around 12.30pm by North Yorkshire fire to attend an incident in York.
“Our team helped provide rescue and safety cover for the incident as well as enforcing a river closure that had been requested by North Yorkshire Police.
“Our volunteers stood down at 23:59 and left the incident in the hands of police, ambulance and fire crews.
“We understand that the incident was brought to a safe conclusion in the early hours of the morning. This was the second call out for our volunteers yesterday.”
It is the second river incident in 24 hours. Five fire crews were called out to reports of a woman in the river in York shortly before midnight.
She was later found safe on the riverbank and handed into the care of the police.
