Monday update: Two areas of York now have a coronavirus case rate above 500
Another 64 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 23 August).
That takes the cumulative case total to 19,496 – giving an overall infection rate of 9,239.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 657 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 9 (-1.4%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 333.6 new cases per 100,000 people (704 cases in the week to 19 August). That’s up from 322.3 in the previous seven days (680 cases in the week to 12 August).
The English national average is 324.2, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 363.5.
There were no coronavirus death in the City of York Council area reported today, and two in the last seven days (as at 23 August).
