Tuesday update: Another two coronavirus deaths in the York NHS Trust
A further 81 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 17 August).
That takes the cumulative case total to 18,920 – giving an overall infection rate of 8,966.3 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days 676 people in York have tested positive for Covid-19 – down 46 (-6.4%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 322.3 new cases per 100,000 people (680 cases in the week to 13 August). That’s up from 334.1 in the previous seven days (705 cases in the week to 6 August).
The English national average is 305.5, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 371.3.
There were no coronavirus deaths in the City of York Council area reported today, and three in the last seven days (as at 17 August).
