The cream of York’s vibrant live music scene have teamed up for a huge fundraising concert.
Every Christmas Boss Caine leader, Dan Lucas, organises a festive fundraiser. This year’s event – at Fibbers, on Monday, December 23 – will benefit victims of the Philippines typhoon disaster.
Dan told YorkMix: “Over the last 12 years I have put on many festive fundraisers at Fibbers. From way back in the days when I fronted the noisy Nosedivers, right up to this year with my Boss Caine crew and friends.
“This is by far the strongest line up yet.
“The venue has kindly been provided free of charge, all the bands have agreed to play for free. The sound and lighting engineers and venue box office staff are also working for free.
“The show will be amazing, and the cause is very much in need. All that remains is for people to show up and enjoy themselves.”
Artists Nathan Luke, Aimie J Ryan, Zak Ford, Boss Caine, Chris Helme, …And The Hangnails and We Could Be Astronauts will be playing live.
The evening will be followed by the DJs of The Revolutionary Freaked Out Fuzz Club, playing till late.
