Police in Selby have asked parents to speak to their children and make sure they are not involved in incidents of dangerous behavior and damage to property.
Speaking on their Facebook page tonight, Selby Police say:
“There is a small group of teenagers currently behaving anti-socially in Selby town centre and causing a nuisance to members of the community.
“In addition to this there have also been reports of damage to property, public order offences, climbing on roofs of shops and attempting to gain entry to disused unsafe buildings.”
Officers say they are appealing to parents of children in the town to make sure that their child is not involved. They continued:
“If you discover they are then to take appropriate action to take control of them as it may otherwise result in a journey to the custody suite at York to collect your child after they are arrested, or worse, a journey to A&E if they fall from a rooftop or become injured in the disused building.”
