A man faces four charges following a road collision which left wreckage strewn across a York city centre street.
The incident happened on Gillygate at about 10.50pm on Tuesday (4 May).
A car left the road and collided with buildings and a lamppost.
The driver, a 27-year-old man from York, was arrested at the scene and later charged with:
- Driving without due care and attention
- Failing to provide a specimen for analysis
- Obstructing a constable in the execution of their duty
- Possessing class A drugs (cocaine)
He is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court on 24 May.
