Tuesday update: These 13 areas of York now have more than 50 coronavirus cases
A further 154 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 12 January).
It takes the cumulative total to 9,393 – giving an overall infection rate of 4,459.7 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 1,313 positive Covid-19 tests in York – an increase of 123 (10.3%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 670.4 new cases per 100,000 people (1,412 cases in the week to 8 January). That’s up from 496.6 in the previous seven days (1,046 cases in the week to 1 January).
The English national average is 629.9, the Yorkshire and Humber average is 322.8.
There have been four more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area, and 15 in the last seven days (up five).

In North Yorkshire, there were 258 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 21,703 – an infection rate of 3,511.5 cases per 100K.
There are 1,304 cases in Ryedale (up 15), 3,473 in Selby (up 40), 5,549 in Harrogate (up 70), 2,945 in Hambleton (up 33), 4,517 in Scarborough (up 38), 1,785 in Richmondshire (up 27) and 2,130 in Craven (up 35).
There were four more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That takes the total to 405 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
