Monday update: More than 400 people have now died of coronavirus in York NHS Trust hospitals
Another 128 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Monday, 11 January).
It takes the cumulative total to 9,239 – giving an overall infection rate of 4,386.6 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 1,348 positive Covid-19 tests in York – an increase of 224 (19.9%) week on week.
The rolling seven-day rate in York is 636.2 new cases per 100,000 people (1,340 cases in the week to 7 January). That’s up from 464.8 in the previous seven days (979 cases in the week to 31 December).
There have been three more coronavirus-related deaths in the York council area, and 11 in the last seven days (no change).

In North Yorkshire, there were 220 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 21,445 – an infection rate of 3,469.8 cases per 100K.
There are 1,289 cases in Ryedale (up 19), 3,433 in Selby (up 48), 5,479 in Harrogate (up 50), 2,912 in Hambleton (up 45), 4,479 in Scarborough (up 22), 1,758 in Richmondshire (up 20) and 2,095 in Craven (up 16).
There were seven more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That takes the total to 401 across the trust (York and Scarborough Hospitals).
