Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in the York City squad, forcing the postponement of another game.
City’s match against AFC Fylde on Tuesday has been called off – and the fixture the following week against Gateshead is also in doubt.
It means that City are likely to have played their final game at Bootham Crescent.
The game against AFC Fylde was due to be the last at the historic stadium after 88 years, with a special souvenir match day programme created to mark the milestone.
And the first game at the new LNER Community Stadium is set to be the Gateshead match.
But that is also in doubt.
It also leaves a long fixture backlog due to postponements caused by coronavirus cases affecting City and some of their opponents.
The team are now seventh in the National League North table – but have played five fewer games than the league leaders Gloucester.
In a statement the club said: “York City Football Club can confirm that all backroom staff and players will self-isolate after confirmed Covid-19 cases in the squad.
“The game against AFC Fylde on Tuesday at Bootham Crescent is postponed with the fixture the following week against Gateshead in doubt.
“We are awaiting National League guidance on the isolation period and will update once we have confirmation.
“We wish all the players, staff and their families well during this time.”
