Rescuers had a busy night after Storm Bella brought high winds and heavy rain to North Yorkshire.
At 12.36am today at Pannal firefighters help pump water out of a flooded basement and away from electric switchboard. Sandbags were requested from the council.
At 12.37am at Hawes, two men aged in their 20s and 40s, and two dogs, were rescued from vehicle stuck in flowing floodwater by fire crews using a water rescue boat.
At 2.40am at Aysgarth, firefighters took to their boat again to rescue a man and woman in their 20s from the roof of their car after they drove into deep floodwater.
At 3.35am at Wensley a fire crew walked a woman in her 20s through shallow floodwater following a minor road traffic collision after driving through floodwater.
Away from the bad weather, a fire crew from York assisted after a woman in her 90s collapsed in her home at 12.51am.
Today’s weather forecast shows a chance of rain in York at around 5pm, but otherwise dry.
There are no flood warnings in place for York. There are 11 flood warnings for North Yorkshire, including on the River Nidd at Hunsingore and the River Ure at Roecliffe Caravan Park.
