Three people have been arrested after a police operation targeting county lines drug dealers.
On Saturday night, the York expedite police team, the dogs unit and neighbourhood police officers responded to reports of drugs dealing in the St Mary’s area of the city.
A 29-year-old local man was arrested.
Two other men, both from South Yorkshire, attempted to hide from the police but were tracked down with the help of the dogs unit.
Drugs and cash were seized.
“On the back of swift teamwork and local knowledge of the area, three suspects were promptly arrested and taken to custody. Three more drug dealers off our streets,” posted York North Police.
“Special thanks to the North Yorkshire Police dog who won the game of hide and seek the South Yorkshire males were playing!” York West Police added.
