There are muck spreaders, horses, and actors in period costume and very modern face masks gathered around York Minster this morning (Wednesday).
That could only mean one thing: a film crew is back in town.
As we reported earlier in the week, scenes for hit BBC One drama Gentleman Jack are being shot in York today.

From early this morning preparations were well underway. Trailers are parked along Deangate, which is closed to traffic.
Horses from the Devil’s Horseman stunt team, and a period horse-drawn carriage, were stationed close to the Minster School.
Ye olde market stalls were readied, and professional muck spreaders were adding a layer of soil onto the cobbles.
Actors are going in and out of St William’s College, with the film crew positioned close to Minster Yard.
Scenes are being shot for series two of Gentleman Jack, which stars Suranne Jones as Yorkshire pioneer Anne Lister.
