A lap dancing club wants to renew its licence, even though its home is partly boarded up.
The Black Orchid club operates as 3-5 Toft Green, also the former home of Fibbers and the Bierkeller bar.
But that building has been shut for months after plans were revealed to demolish it and replace it with a four-storey office block.

But Black Orchid’s owners, Tokyo Industries, have applied to renew the sex establishment licence for the premises for another year.
We contacted Tokyo Industries for comment, but have not heard back.
According to the application, it wants to run the club from 10pm to 3.30am daily, with an extension to 4.30am on York race days.
Councillors will now decide what to do at a meeting of the gambling, licensing and regulatory committee tomorrow (Tuesday).
At the same meeting they will decide whether to renew the sex establishment licence for The Adult Shop on Gillygate.
A report to councillors says: “These premises have operated as a sex shop since 1997. There have been no complaints received in relation to the premises since the initial licence was granted.”
The meeting takes place tomorrow at 5.30pm. More details here.
