A man allegedly threatened people with a knife in a disturbance at a York pub.
It happened at The Dormouse on Clifton Park Avenue yesterday (Tuesday, 18 February) between 7.30pm and 7.45pm.
People in the pub grabbed the man and wrestled the knife from him.
One witness told Minster FM:

Several customers tackled the man – who had picked up a knife.
He was threatening to kill customers. They disarmed him and restrained him – until the police arrived. They are heroes.
Man arrested
A 20-year-old man from York was arrested on suspicion of affray.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “It is alleged that the man made threats and picked up a table knife from within the pub after he had been refused service.
“Members of the public detained the man at the scene and he was taken into custody for questioning.”
