Police have issued a description of a man who used racially abusive language in York.
The incident happened on Regent Street at about 4.10pm on Friday, 31 January.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and in particular anyone who might have witnessed it take place or who might be able to identify the man.”
The man is described as:
- white
- 5ft 9ins tall
- 35-40 years old
- of slim build
- and he appeared to have bowed legs.
He was wearing a plain black hat pulled down to his eyebrows, plain fitted black puffa coat, and plain brown or grey trousers.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.
