A bike and confectionery were stolen from a city centre café – the second burglary there in days.
The burglary happened at Hartley’s Coffee and Sandwich Shop on Lendal Bridge between 5.30pm on Saturday (21 September), and 8am on Sunday.
A number of items were stolen, including a black Cromford 2 bicycle and a large amount of confectionery including chocolate bars and drinks.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “This is the second time in a matter of days the premises has been broken into.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to identify any suspects by asking people to come forward if they may have seen anything that might help progress this investigation.”
