Thieves broke into a city centre shoe shop and hot-footed it with £1,000 worth of stock.
The burglary happened at the size? shoe store on Feasegate at around 11.30pm on Friday (6 September).
The thief or thieves broke a number of windows at the back of the shop before entering the store room and taking several pairs of ladies’ Nike trainers, valued at about £1,000.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We are requesting the public’s help to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
