These amazing pictures tell the story of the magical York Minster wedding of Ellie Goulding.
Ellie wed art dealer Caspar Jopling in some style at the cathedral today (Saturday, 31 August).
The superstar singer arrived outside the Minster in a blue VW Camper van to be greeted by the Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu.
Ellie, dressed in traditional white with a veil, arrived fashionably late – more than 40 minutes after the 3pm start time.
Her groom, art dealer Caspar Jopling, had arrived 45 minutes earlier.
Ellie was greeted by cheers from a huge crowd watching behind crash barriers.
She was preceded by guests including singer Katy Perry with Hollywood star boyfriend Orlando Bloom.
After the wedding they emerged from the Minster beaming with happiness – and Ellie and Caspar got the biggest cheer when they shared a kiss in front of the York crowds.
Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice and their mother Sarah, Duchess of York, arrived and were greeted by Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank who is one of the groomsmen.
Also among the early arrivals were singer James Blunt, actress Sienna Miller, comic Jimmy Carr and artist Tracey Emin.
The groom, 27, gave a thumbs-up to waiting guests on his arrival.
He was cheered by the crowds and greeted with an announcement by York’s town crier.
Several hundred people had gathered outside the south door of the Minster waiting for the bride and any celebrity arrivals.
After a heavy shower soaked everyone waiting, there were cheers as the sun broke through the clouds.
The crowds also cheered and waved as the first coach-load of guests arrived.
