This was the scene this evening after a crash on a main York road.
Police were at the scene on Malton Road, close to its junction with New Lane, shortly before 5pm on Monday (1 July).
Three cars were stopped in the middle of the road. The front of one of the vehicles was badly damaged.
Officers were directing traffic round the stationary vehicles.
There are not thought to be any serious casualties.
