These passengers in York Station were not going anywhere in a hurry this morning.
A trespasser on the railway at Leeds caused chaos on the network.
Train operator LNER stated:

A trespasser on the railway at Leeds is causing disruption at this station.
All lines are currently blocked and trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 160 minutes or revised.
Customers are advised to delay travelling until later today if possible. Please ensure you check before travelling.
Major disruption is expected until at least 12:00.
Leeds Station reopened at about 10.15am but residual delays are expected to last for some time.
British Transport Police tweeted:
Leeds station update: A man has now been safely removed from harms way. We are now working with @networkrail to resume train services as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience this morning whilst we worked. Hoping to get people moving again shortly.

Many services were just showing the single bleak word ‘Delayed’ as much of the network came to a halt.
