These dramatic pictures show a blaze at flats in York overnight.
Firefighters from York were called to the fire on Dale Street, off Nunnery Lane, at 10.34pm on Wednesday (July 3).
A ground floor and first floor flat were seriously damaged.
Now two people have been arrested in connection with the blaze.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said:
We responded to a report of a house fire on Dale Sreet, York at 10.38pm on Tuesday 3 July 2018 alongside the North Yorkshire Fire Service.
A 41 year-old local woman was arrested on suspicion of arson with intent.
A 42 year-old local man were arrested on suspicion of arson with intent and possession of a Class A drug.
They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Everyone was accounted for, and no one was hurt.
Eyewitnesses told Minster FM that the fire appeared to start in the garden but then spread to the flats.
They also said the fire may have begun in a stack of wood.
Smoke drifted across York towards Holgate Bridge. Firefighters had put out the blaze by 12.30am.
