York are sitting comfortably at the top of the Yorkshire League Division One, having won all but one of their matches this season.
Now they will have the opportunity to reach the semi-finals of the cup with victory over Manchester outfit Bowden from the South Lancs & Cheshire Division One.
The winners will go through to play in the national semi final and the final will be played at the rugby capital of Twickenham on Sunday May 6th.
The Clifton Parker’s racked up two heavy wins to get to this stage, beating Newcastle side Medicals a whopping 98-7, before defeating Gateshead 81-5 last Saturday (Feb 17th).
Keeping on track
After losing their 100% record to Middlesbrough in January, York are now back on track after two wins in the league and an emphatic victory in the cup last week.
York will be without some big names for the visit of Bowdon. First team captain Sam Forbes and third top scorer George Davies will be out with injuries.
Star performers Sam Potrykus and Josh Parker are also unavailable for the game, but Head Coach Lee Denham is confident that his squad is still strong enough to reach the semi-finals.
We are looking forward to welcoming Bowdon to the club. Hopefully the weather holds up so we can play on a good pitch.
We have a few players unavailable, but we still have a strong enough squad to win the game.
We would love a good cup run this year and hopefully we can keep our season on track with a win on Saturday.

Lunch anyone?
Prior to the Bowdon game on Saturday, a pre-match lunch has been organised by York head coach Lee Denham to help fundraise for the South Africa Friendship Appeal.
The charity is run by the school of Lee Denham’s Daughter, Archbishops Holgate, who in April, will send 11 Year 10 students and 2 staff to South Africa to carry out valuable work at an Aids orphanage.
The amount of work they carry out, including teaching in schools and gardening projects, will depend on how much money they can raise before they go.
The lunch will take place from 12:30 onwards at the Clifton Park clubhouse, where fans are also encouraged to gather and watch the England vs Scotland six nations match after the York game.
