A schoolgirl was taken to hospital after an accident in York today (Monday).
The ten-year-old year-old girl suffered minor head and leg injuries after being involved in a collision with a car.
The incident occurred on Green Dykes Lane at 8.39am on Monday (January 22).
She was walking to school a group of friends when she stepped into the path of a blue Mazda 3 car driven by a local woman.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken by ambulance to York Hospital.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to call North Yorkshire Police.
