A cyclist has assaulted another rider during an early morning ride in York.
It happened at the junction of Clifton Moor Gate and Water Lane near the Toyota garage, at around 6.45am on Wednesday (December 6).
Both the cyclists involved were men.
One cyclist was assaulted and pulled to the floor by the other. He sustained minor injuries to his arms and legs, which did not require hospital treatment.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this assault.”
