Now we don’t want to worry you but you might bump into this fellow in York tonight (Thursday).
He is part of the Whitby Krampus Run and a group of them will be in town during late-night shopping.
What is a Krampus? Here’s the definition from Wikipedia:
Krampus is described as “half-goat, half-demon”, who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts.

“We just thought it would be more fun than Father Christmas,” said Heather Bowser, of Pandora’s Box Antiques & Oddities on Colliergate.
She invited the Whitby Krampus Run gang over for the evening.
“They will be hanging around our shop for Thursday night late night shopping, collecting for charity Whitby Wildlife in exchange for photos and antics. It should be good fun!”
