Russell Brand is heading back to York – and this time he’s ready to talk media, madness and modern families.
The stand-up and film star brings his new tour Re:Birth to York Barbican on October 12.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 3 at 10am.
In Re:Birth, Russell wrestles with questions like what is real? Who are we? Where did this baby come from?

The comedian and his partner Laura Gallacher became parents to a daughter, Mabel, last November.
In the show he will be unravelling the matrix of modern media, politics, sex, fatherhood and death. In other words, he tries to make sense of life having just made a new one.
Russell said there will be lots of questions for him and the audience to grapple with.
What happens if she grows up to be like me or, worse, date someone like me?
Multi-talented

Since rising to fame in 2003, Russell Brand has established himself as one of one of the world’s most celebrated stand-up comedians.
His acclaimed tours include 2006’s Shame and Only Joking three years later, which also marked his US live debut.
He was last in York with 2013’s critically acclaimed and hugely successful Messiah Complex, which led our reviewer to declare him a genius.
Aside from stand-up, Russell is also a phenomenally successful broadcaster, actor, author, podcaster, columnist, political commentator as well as a mental health and drug rehabilitation activist.
The national Re:Birth tour starts in April 2017.
