Police are stepping up their search for a 20-year-old York student who has been missing since Sunday (October 2).
Ethan Peters, who studies at the University of York, lives in the Hull Road area and was last seen on Coney Street at around 11.55pm on Sunday.
On Wednesday (October 5) police extended their search for the popular young man.
Officers are reviewing CCTV around the area in which he was last seen. An underwater search team is also due to search the River Foss this afternoon.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone who has seen someone matching Mr Peters’ description, or who knows of his whereabouts, to get in touch immediately by calling 101.

Inspector Martin Metcalfe of York police said: “Ethan has not been seen since Sunday and his disappearance is completely out of character.
“We’re working closely with his family and providing support to them during this difficult time.
“We’re also continuing to appeal for the public’s help are keeping an open mind with regards to the investigation.
“I’d like to reiterate our appeal for information today – it’s vital that anyone who thinks they may have seen Ethan since Sunday or has any other information contacts us immediately on 101.”
