The inquest into the death of the 11-year-old boy who died in a collision on the A64 at Grimston Bar near York was opened and adjourned on Thursday (August 18).
His name is Ahmad Abdulsalam, from Bradford.
Officers continue to investigate the collision on Monday (August 15), and have received a good response from members of the public who have called in with information.
They still want to hear from anyone else who has not yet come forward who either witnessed the collision or the vehicles prior to the crash, or has any dash-cam footage.
It involved a white Peugeot drop-sided van which was towing a trailer, a silver Vauxhall Zafira and a grey Porsche.
All the vehicles were travelling in the same direction and were in lane two when the collision happened. It took place on the east-bound carriageway at the junction with the A1079 at Grimston Bar.
The Peugeot and the Zafira are believed to have been stationary in heavy traffic at the time of the collision.

The woman and one of the injured children remain in hospital.
The driver of the Porsche who was arrested at the time of the collision remains on police bail while enquiries continue.
