Vandalfest, the street art exhibition that supports local youth homeless charity SASH, has now opened.
The non-profit organisation Vandals at Work (formerly Bombsquad) are once again working with Safe and Sound Homes (SASH) to bring the epic exhibition to 2 Low Ousegate in York.
And it opens today! It is taking place over three weekends in July (11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 July) over four floors of galleries, and features work from over 30 artists.

“I cannot wait for people to come in and see what it’s like this year,” said Pam Anthony, marketing and communications officer at SASH. “This year it just feels on another level.”
The 2025 exhibition will include immersive art, DJ sets, and live installations – as well as a on-site and online shop, and auction.
The exhibition also includes a room installation by SASH. SASH is youth homeless charity who look after 16 – 25-year-olds facing homelessness across York and North Yorkshire. “We’re really proud of it,” said Pam. “And the fact that some of our young people have been involved in this means so much as well.
“We want people to come in and get a real feel of stepping into their shoes.
“The installation has given some of our young people real focus and something to be really passionate about, and working with some amazing artists – it’s a brilliant opportunity.”
All of the pieces of furniture in the installation have been donated by York Community Furniture Store.
The exhibition is free to enter, but a suggested donation of £3 to SASH is encouraged.
