We asked if you’d taken any good pictures of York in the fog – and we’re very glad we did.
Many of you have captured wonderful, ethereal photographs of the city in the autumn mist.
It followed publication of a set of pictures by our own David Dunning.
Looking at some of these, you half expect a Victorian gentleman in top hat to emerge from the gloom and hail a Hansom cab (Joseph Hansom being born in Micklegate, of course).
Others show off some of York’s green spaces with the mists enveloping the lush autumn foliage or still waters.
