Upgraded cash machines are set to be installed in a city centre bank.
The NatWest branch on Market Street, York, has submitted a planning application for the changes.
And the new ATMs will be more accessible to customers, the bank says.
“The bank is currently undertaking a national programme whereby they are replacing and upgrading their ATMs,” a planning statement says.
“The new ATMs will increase convenience for customers by allowing better access, a more ergonomical design and have cyber protected security.
“They also feature Bluetooth and voice control.”
Under the plans, the left-hand cash machine will be brought forward and lowered to allow for disabled access.
“The stonework beneath this will need to be cut away (85mm) and the internal wall face cut back,” the statement says.
“The existing apertures are to be altered to suit the new ATMs and all disturbed finishes to be made good to match existing.”
