This was the scene next to a busy North Yorkshire road late this afternoon (Monday).
A huge field fire was burning alongside the A61 at Hutton Bank, north east of Ripon.
Multiple fire crews were in attendance.

According to one witness, a combine harvester caught fire which set the crops ablaze.
Thick clouds of smoke are rising above the area. The combine has been destroyed.
North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: “There are fires in fields alongside the A61 at Hutton Bank (north east of Ripon).
“Please avoid the area and find other routes for journeys, while we work at the scene.”
Later Group Manager Bob Hoskins said:
“Crews worked with the farmer to extinguish the fire.
“A further 4 appliances were requested inc Knaresborough & Water Bowser from Boroughbridge due to the 300m fire front.”
