Fire crews responded to a farm fire in Ryedale early this morning.
Crews from Helmsley and Malton went to the incident in Hovingham at 1.10am.
Initially the call was to a forklift on fire.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Upon arrival of the fire service the fire was discovered to have spread to a barn adjacent to it, which contained approximately 100 sheep.
“The fire was extinguished using two-hose reel jet and all of the live stock within the barn were rescued and free of any harm.”
