Fire crews were called to an incident in a village south of York last night (Tuesday).
Crews from Selby and Acomb responded to reports of a tractor on fire in a field off Main Street, Thorganby at 5.37pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “The tractor was extinguished along with ten square meters of standing crop which was also affected.

“The cause was accidental and crews used two hose reel jets, three breathing apparatus and pitchforks at the scene.”
