Quench your thirst for knowledge as this science festival returns to York.
The Pint of Science Festival will take place from Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 May.
The festival brings the opportunity for scientists and researchers to bring their latest discoveries into pubs and cafes – providing an unique opportunity to find out more about the research happening on your doorstep.
The events provide a platform for researchers to share their stories, and audiences an opportunity to ask their questions about science to those directly behind it.
Pint of Science is an international festival, taking place in over 40 cities with 450 events happening across the UK – including here in York at venues The Winning Post, The Fulford Arms, FortyFive Vinyl Cafe, Red Goat Climbing and The Yorkshire Arboretum.
The wide breadth of events will feature discussions on topics such as artificial intelligence, tropical parasites, climate change, the quantum universe, and the subconscious mind.
“We should all have an opportunity to question and discover the breadth of research that is taking place right here in the UK,” said festival co-founder Dr Praveen Paul.
“None of it would be possible without our enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who work so hard to bring you a programme packed full of inspiring events, and encourage us all to be curious.”
Each event costs £5 to attend.
