This year, one of the longest-running gang shows in the country celebrates 100 years of Cub Scouts and Guide Senior Section as well as 30 years of Beaver Scouts.
Performed by members of the Scout and Guide movements from York and the surrounding area, it follows the great gang show tradition by staging a varied bill performed by talented youngsters.
As many as 80 scouts and guides will take to the stage during the show with lots more working behind the scenes. There’s be toe-tapping tunes and plenty of laughs in the family friendly evening.
To help them get into a celebratory mood, some members of the cast recently took a break from rehearsals to visit Mannion & Co in Blake Street in York for a photoshoot, where they were treated to hot chocolate and giant meringues.
