Two crews were called to a boat fire on the River Ouse in York today (Sunday).
Firefighters from York and Acomb went to the incident at 1.29pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Upon arrival they found there to be a fire in the engine compartment of a marine vessel.
“The Co2 fire suppression system had activated and crews used a hose reel, thermal imaging and breathing apparatus to investigate.
“The fire damage was confined to the engine compartment and no persons were on board at the time.”
