Firefighters are at the scene of an HGV fire on the A64 this evening (Monday).
The blaze has closed part of the westbound carriageway between the A1079 Hull Road Grimston Bar interchange and the A19 Fulford Interchange.
Firefighters from York, Huntington and Acomb are on the scene.

They were called out at about 4.45pm.
The westbound carriageway was completely closed for some time. But traffic has now been released in one lane to pass the stricken vehicle.
The AA is reporting severe delays of 43 minutes on the road.
Update: The road is now clear
