Young triathlete left devastated following York bike theft

10 Nov, 2017 by YorkMix

The stolen bikes

A young triathlete has been left devastated after his bike was stolen from a York garage.

The burglary happened overnight between Wednesday, November 8 and Thursday, November 9 when a garage on Green Dikes, Wigginton was broken in to.

A white and black adult’s Cube Attain bike and black and red child’s Giant Defy bike were taken.

The owners, including the child that uses the Defy bike, compete in triathlons and are now unable to take part in further competitions until they can source suitable replacements.

The child’s bike is marked using the North Yorkshire Police dot peen system so is easily traceable.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police.
