The new neighbourhood workspace coming to York will open within weeks – and it’s attracted ‘phenomenal’ interest, says the team behind it.
Patch will be based at the Bonding Warehouse. Redevelopment is well underway and Patch has announced that it will open on Monday 6 January.
Patch creates innovative, design-led workspaces; their latest venture being the site on Terry Avenue.

YorkMix revealed Patch was moving into the Bonding Warehouse on Terry Avenue in October, and since then there’s been a lot of interest.
There are currently only five private offices remaining.
Each of the offices come with an all-inclusive price. Membership packages range from £24 per day to £319 per month, catering to freelancers, startups, hybrid workers, and solopreneurs.
Once fully occupied, Patch is expected to host more than 50 companies and approximately 400 coworking members.
The neighbourhood workspace at the Bonding Warehouse, which overlooks the River Ouse, extends over two floors.
The new site will also provide a multi-functional event space.

Freddie Fforde, founder and CEO of Patch, said: “The enthusiasm from local businesses for the new neighbourhood workspace at the Bonding Warehouse has been phenomenal.
“The city and business community are governed by an incredible entrepreneurial spirit and creative energy that form a powerful force for driving positive change.
“Our vision for Patch York was to create a lively hub for the city’s established education and technology sectors, burgeoning digital media scene as well as the thriving ecosystem of local independent makers.
“We’re excited to see how this eclectic mix of local talent will converge to build something truly outstanding and we’re proud to play a supporting role in the emerging creative epicentre of the North.”
Ahead of the opening, Patch has appointed Thom Feeney as site director, who originally hails from York.

Many years ago, he was the media manager at York Theatre Royal but in more recent times Thom has been working in Sweden running social impact organisations.
Thom will be responsible for transforming the Bonding Warehouse into a vibrant work and events space, as well as supporting operations for Patch across the North.
A launch event to mark the opening will be staged in the New Year, bringing together key players of the scheme to celebrate and connect.
The evening will include a drinks reception, welcome speeches, and a tour of the building.
As part of the launch plans, Patch has collaborated with Mat Lazenby, creative director of the York-based design studio LazenbyBrown.
This was to curate a collection of artworks celebrating the Bonding Warehouse’s history and York’s status as an UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts.
