Unleash your creative imagination in the heart of nature – as York Theatre Royal launch a free writing group for adults this spring.
Meeting at the Homestead Park Pavilion, the writing group will invite writers of all levels to take inspiration from the legacy of Rowntree Heritage and the beauty of Homestead Park.
The free five week course will start on Tuesday 22 April and run until Tuesday 20 May 2025.
It will take place from 10am to 12pm. There’s no need to book – simply turn up ready to get writing!
The group is aimed at aspiring writers and those who simply wish to explore a new creative outlet. It will offer guided writing techniques, collaborative support, and the peaceful park surroundings.
No matter where you’re at on your writing journey, meet like-minded creatives and have fun bringing the beautiful backdrop of Homestead Park to life.
The event is part of York Theatre Royal’s Sweet Legacies community engagement project – which has been funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
