York pub opens a 96-seat beer garden
Looking for somewhere to chill in York with a beer and some friends?
Well a new spot has just opened up – the Trafalgar Bay on Nunnery Lane. And it has plenty of room.
The Victorian pub has set up a beer garden with 96 spaces.
Run by Sarah and Phil Roper, it has reopened today (Wednesday). “We have blankets and hot water to keep you warm and umbrellas for when it rains,” they said.
The Sam Smith’s pub is taking walk-ins, or you can text 07762 352847 to book a table.
It is cash only.
Opening hours for the first week will be:
Wednesday 28th 2 pm – 10 pm
Thursday 29th 12 noon – 8 pm
Friday 30th 3 pm – 11 pm
Saturday 1st 3 pm – 11 pm
Sunday 2nd 2.30 pm – 10.30 pm
Monday 3rd 12 noon – 8 pm
Tuesday 4th CLOSED
“You just need to wrap up warm, bring a blanket and hot water bottle for those colder days/evenings,” the say.
