Police have responded to outbreaks of trouble near a York cricket club.
And they are calling on residents to report any future anti-social behaviour.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said today (Sunday): “We have had reports of anti-social behaviour in the area of Little Knavesmire, near to Ovington Cricket Club.
“Your local neighbourhood policing team are aware and have the area on their patrol plan.
“If you experience any issues in the area we would be grateful if you could please let us know. If the issue is still ongoing please contact us on 101.
“If not ongoing you can report online using this link.”
It is not the first time that there has been trouble on Little Knavesmire.
In 2021, outbreaks of disorder and violence left a 16-year-old boy in hospital. Residents said vandalism, partying and ‘public toileting’ was making their lives a misery.
It was tackled via a multi-agency approach, including police and the council.
