A man has been charged with kidnapping after a police hunt across York and Leeds.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance in Tang Hall, York, in the early hours yesterday (Thursday, 26 August).
As a result of their inquiries, they launched a major search for a missing woman.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The woman who was later found inside a vehicle in Leeds. The woman is now safe.
“A 31-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with kidnap and two motoring offences.”
Marcus Green, 31, was remanded in custody at York Magistrates’ Court, on charges of kidnapping, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance.
Mr Green, of Grey Friars, Chester, is due to appear at York Crown Court on 23 September.
Two houses cordoned off
Two houses on Osbaldwick Lane in Tang Hall were cordoned off behind crime scene tape yesterday.
The two end terrace properties were guarded by a police officer all day.
One neighbour told YorkMix that a resident of one of the taped-off houses was ordered back inside when they tried to leave the property.
A crime scene investigation team also went to the scene.
The police cordon was removed yesterday afternoon.
